Are you a member of our LGBTQIA+ or ally community who would like to be involved in the planning and implementation of the Be the Rainbow event and perhaps other events throughout the year? Join our Be the Rainbow advisory committee and become a Rainbow Ambassador!
The application period to be a Rainbow Ambassador is now open.
We are looking for people who are passionate about our mission and vision, share our goals for the future, and have lots of energy and ideas on how we might expand our reach and make change happen in our community.
Interested Rainbow Ambassador applicants should send us an email with the following information:
- Why is Be the Rainbow important to you?
- What skills do you bring to the committee?
- Do you have a history of volunteering? Where and when?
- Let us know if you’ve attended previous Be the Rainbow events!
LGBTQIA+ individuals and families thrive in environments where they can express themselves authentically without fear of judgment or discrimination.
Details:
Rainbow Ambassadors should be able to commit to at least four (4) one-hour meetings within a calendar year and be willing to commit at least 10 hours of volunteer work annually. If applicants can volunteer more often, please let us know in your email!
The advisory committee is limited to 12 Rainbow Ambassadors. Rainbow Ambassador length of membership is one year from the time of appointment. The Board will then reopen the application period to fill vacant member positions.
Rainbow ambassadors are selected by a majority board vote. Criteria for selection to the Event Advisory Committee include but are not limited to a passion for the mission, skillset, time commitment/availability, Brevard County, FL residence, and ability to follow application instructions.
We look forward to meeting and working alongside some amazing rainbow ambassadors!
Together, we’ll Be the Rainbow!
